Le emozioni sono una caratteristica presente in tutti gli essere viventi che implica una reazione cognitiva e fisica, prevalentemente improvvisa, ad uno stimolo. Quindi, sono intese come uno stato affettivo di tipo fuggevole.

Dagli studi dello psicologo canadese Paul Ekman una caratteristica importante delle emozioni primarie è data dal fatto che vengono espresse da ogni essere umano in qualsiasi luogo, di qualsiasi cultura ed etnia attraverso modalità simili. Ekman, ha analizzato come le espressioni facciali corrispondenti ad ogni singola emozione interessino gli stessi tipi di muscoli facciali e allo stesso modo, indipendentemente da fattori quali cultura e etnia.

Alex da Corte is a Philadelphia-based artist who has studied film, fine art, and printmaking at the School of Visual Arts in New York and Philadelphias University of the Arts. Each of the disciplines he has studied manifests itself in his varied artworks. 

Da Corte's activities explore those 

awkward personal interactions and

while they result in compelling

photographs and curious, near comic

installations of paper party streamers

that spell out phrases such as 

"I love you so much it makes me sick"

and flags comprised of weathered

burlesque fringed garments; 

there is an insidious undercurrent 

in the work that captures an 

unspoken tension within the evidence

of these activities.

De vlag bestaat uit drie horizontale banen van gelijke hoogte in de kleuren rood, wit en blauw. De vlag dateert uit 1579, toen de onafhankelijkheid van Nederland werd uitgeroepen en werd officieel goedgekeurd in 1796 en bevestigd als nationaal embleem in 1937. Het wit en blauw zijn de livreikleuren van het Franse vorstendom Orange, waar het Huis Nassau, het latere Nederlandse koningshuis, mee verbonden raakte. Het rood was oorspronkelijk oranje, naar de naam van het vorstendom, maar werd in de loop van de 17e eeuw vervangen door vermiljoenrood, dat tijdens zeeslagen makkerlijker te herkennen was. Op feestadagen die te maken hebben met het koningshuis of tijdens diplomatieke reizen naar het buitenland wordt ook wel een oranje wimpel boven de vlag gehangen. Verder wordt het oranje gebruikt als nationale herkenningskleur.

FUSSBALL-LANDSCHAFTEN SCHWEIZ

Fotoausstellung in Winterthur von Björn Allemann

Der Fotograf Björn Allemann war im Auftrag der Bildagentur Keystone 15 Monate lang unterwegs, um Orte aufzuspüren, wo hierzulande Fussball gespielt wird: in Alpentälern, neben Autobahnen, an Seeufern, zwischen Wohnsiedlungen und hinter Fabrikanlagen.

Im Zentrum der Reportage stehen nicht die Fussballstadien in den Metropolen, sondern vielmehr die Nebenschauplätze. überall entdeckt Björn A.Spuren des Fussballspiels, Flutlichter, Spielfeldmarkierungen, Goals und Zuschauertribünen. Es ist ein poetischer Fotoessay entstanden, der zeigt, wie beliebt und allgegenwärtig der Fussballsport ist.

Die Ausstellung "fussball-Landschaften aus der Schweiz" von Björn Allemann ist in der "Coalmine"-Fotogalerie Winterthur noch bis zum 18.Juli 2008 zu sehen.
